Inspired by my time at Flag Fen Bronze Age Centre in Peterborough, England, I have created a range of clothing with a Bronze Age style but also suitable for 21st century fashion. Using wool, flax (fibres in use during the Bronze Age) as well as cotton and wood beads.
I like to use natural cords and yarns as much as I can, and mostly use cotton string in various thickness’ which I wash to make soft. I can then hand dye it to customer’s preference. I also use flax, again I wash before working up. Colour shades may vary depending on manufacture.
It takes me over 40 hours to hand tie thousands of knots into a shawl (approximately 5000 in the wool)
